Day 2

GET-TO-KNOW THE CITY

Start your day with a serene boat ride along the Perfume River, taking in the peaceful scenery as you glide toward Thien Mu Pagoda—Hue’s oldest and most iconic pagoda, standing proudly since the 17th century. It’s not just a beautiful sight but also a place filled with legends and history!

Next, hop back on board and head to Hue’s Imperial City, once home to 13 Nguyen Dynasty emperors. Walk through the Ngo Mon Gate, explore the Forbidden Purple City, and marvel at ancient halls, temples, and palaces. Don’t miss the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, where centuries-old artifacts bring the past to life.

After soaking in history, it’s time for a shopping spree at Dong Ba Market—Hue’s largest and most vibrant market that has been around for over 100 years! Browse through stalls filled with traditional handicrafts, souvenirs, and delicious local snacks.

Lunch & Relaxation: Enjoy a royal-style Hue lunch at My Home, where you’ll taste authentic dishes that were once served to emperors. After the meal, unwind with soothing Zen music, a cup of Hue’s signature herbal tea, and a rejuvenating herbal foot soak—the perfect midday refresh!

Afternoon: The journey continues to the majestic tombs of Minh Mang and Khai Dinh, where East meets West in stunning architectural fusion. Minh Mang’s tomb is grand, symmetrical, and set in a lush natural landscape, while Khai Dinh’s is intricately decorated with colorful mosaics and European-inspired details—each a masterpiece in its own right!

Before wrapping up the day, visit Hue’s traditional craft villages, where you can watch artisans handcraft iconic conical hats and incense sticks. Try your hand at making them yourself and capture a few memorable photos before heading back.

Day 4

FREE AND EASY DAY / OPTIONAL CATCHING SUNRISE ON LAGOON

Free & Easy morning before saying goodbye to the peaceful charming imperial city. Get a cup of salted coffee, join dragon boat gliding along Huong River, or just simply soak in the vibe of the city at the last look. Ready for the next trip?

If you seek for an out-of-media experience, this is for you (optional):
Early morning, as the city still sleeps, your adventure begins with a drive toward Tam Giang Lagoon, the largest lagoon ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
Then, hop aboard a boat at Dam Chuon and glide through a peaceful world of floating fishing nets, wooden stilt houses, and mirror-like waters. Here, you’ll get a hands-on experience with local fishermen, trying out traditional fishing techniques and gaining insight into their daily lives. Want to take it easy? Relax at a floating house, where you can soak in the views and snap some incredible photos of this one-of-a-kind ecosystem.

After that, head to the only island restaurant on the lagoon for a delicious breakfast featuring steaming hot seafood porridge and crispy banh khoai with kình fish, served alongside Vietnamese tea and coffee. Climb the sunrise observation tower for a panoramic view of the endless waters stretching into the horizon.

Next up, explore the charming Chuon Village Market in An Truyen, where you can witness local life in full swing—bustling vendors, fresh seafood, and a taste of the region’s authentic culture.

The journey continues to Rú Chá Mangrove Forest, an ancient 100-year-old forest covering four hectares. Walk along the wooden pathways, surrounded by towering roots and lush greenery, and capture the wild, untouched beauty of the landscape. Just a short distance away lies Xóm Ma, a tiny village of just seven families who live without electricity or running water, surrounded by ancestral tombs. It’s a place that offers a deep and rare insight into the spiritual traditions of the local people, where generations have remained to protect their ancestors’ resting places.

Finally, board the boat for a smooth ride back to the city, taking in the last glimpses of the lagoon’s serene beauty. A morning of unforgettable sights, local connections, and hidden wonders, this is Hue like you’ve never seen before!
