Itinerary

Day 1

RIDE INTO THE CLOUDS

Your adventure kicks off as you board the sleeper bus from Hanoi to Ha Giang, leaving behind the city buzz and heading into the wild north. Arriving in Ha Giang.

After a quick safety briefing, it’s time to hop on your motorbike and hit the road. The first stretch takes you through Bac Sum Pass, where the views start getting serious, before reaching the Quan Ba Heaven Gate. From here, you’ll see the legendary Twin Mountains, a breathtaking landscape wrapped in misty clouds. Continuing on, we arrive at Nam Dam Village, home to the Dao ethnic minority. Here, you’ll get an intimate look at traditional clay houses, ancient customs, and the peaceful rhythm of village life. After a local lunch in Quan Ba, the ride continues through secret backroads and hidden valleys, offering views that most travelers never get to see. We make a stop at Lung Tam Handicraft Village, where skilled artisans weave intricate hemp textiles by hand, keeping their cultural heritage alive. The day ends in Yen Minh, a charming town where we settle in for the night.

Day 2

CHASING THE BORDER

Waking up to fresh mountain air, the journey resumes with a thrilling ride through Tham Ma Slope, a winding road with nine switchbacks that feels like a natural rollercoaster. Next, we reach Sung La Village, an ancient hamlet steeped in history, before heading to the Lung Cu Flagpole—Vietnam’s northernmost point. From this lookout, you can see across the border into China, with endless mountains stretching into the horizon. Just below the flagpole, we visit Lo Lo Chai Village, home to the Lo Lo ethnic minority, where traditional clay houses and intricate embroidery tell stories of a rich cultural past. After a delicious lunch, we ride toward Dong Van Town, but not before stopping at the H’mong King Palace, a grand residence filled with history and tales of power. Arriving in Dong Van, we settle into our homestay, enjoy a hearty meal, and rest up for the next leg of the adventure.

Day 3

THE KING'S ROAD - CONQUERING MA PI LENG PASS & SKY PASS

Today is the big one, taking us through the heart of Ha Giang’s legendary landscapes. We ride along Ma Pi Leng Pass, the most awe-inspiring road in Vietnam, often called the “King of Passes.” The sheer cliffs, winding roads, and dramatic views will leave you speechless. To take it up a notch, we venture onto the Sky Path, a narrow mountain trail offering a bird’s-eye view of the emerald-green Nho Que River below. Standing at the peak, you’ll feel on top of the world. From here, we descend into remote villages like Lung Ho, Mau Due, and Meo Vac, where time seems to slow down. After a traditional lunch in Meo Vac, we continue into the deeper countryside, reaching Du Gia Village, home to seven different ethnic groups. Staying with a Tay minority family, you’ll experience a true home-cooked meal, share stories around the fire, and maybe even sip on some happy water—the local rice wine that’s sure to lift your spirits.

Day 4

WATERFALLS & THE FINAL RIDE

Before we say goodbye to Ha Giang, there’s one last adventure: Du Gia Waterfall: a stunning natural retreat perfect for a refreshing dip. The ride back to Ha Giang still delivers surprises, as we pass through Duong Thuong Valley and the stunning Thai An Road, soaking in the last of Ha Giang’s incredible landscapes. Arriving back in Ha Giang City, there’s time for a final meal before boarding the Limousine bus back to Hanoi, bringing an end to this unforgettable journey.
