Kick off your day at a fresh, lesser-known boat station where the crowds won’t cramp your style. We’ll set off on a 2-hour cruise along the river, where you’ll get a front-row seat to real-life Mekong: locals fishing, ferrying, and living life right on the water.
Our first stop? A local house where you’ll dive into Don Ca Tai Tu, Vietnam’s soulful folk music that’s so cool it’s UNESCO-recognized. Originally a way for Cái Bè locals to entertain themselves while farming, this tradition has now blossomed into full-time careers, enabling them to pursue their passion as professional artists.
Next, get hands-on with a unique local experience in the Mekong Delta: POP-RICE MAKING! Join the locals as they show you how to transform rice into this crunchy, delicious snack using age-old techniques. It’s a fun and interactive way to dive into the region’s culture, and of course, you’ll get to taste the freshly made pop-rice right on the spot!
Then, we’re hopping on a rowing boat through the narrow canals, leading us to a hidden gem of a local village. Once there, we’ll switch to bicycles for a fun ride through the village, under shaded paths with the authentic local vibe!
Pedaling together, we’ll arrive at one of the oldest Ancient Houses, nestled within a 1.8-hectare fruit garden. The house is featured as one of the most beautiful ancient houses in Vietnam by Japan’s JICA organization. But it’s not just about history, it’s about hanging out with the locals. Meet Mrs. Chinh, the fourth generation owner, and the interactive experience of making traditional pancakes together.
We’ll cap it off with a chill, home-cooked lunch Including 4 appetizers, 3 main courses, and a dessert: – A TRUE MEKONG DELTA FEAST that makes you feel like part of the family
